I’ve Found a Team to Help Me and Support Me

It's been incredible how quickly things have progressed.  When I started with Prosper I had no clue about websites, and felt intimidated by the thought of creating one.  My hand was held through the process (thanks coach, thanks tech support!), and in less than a month my site www.fitbysara.com was created.  I love my sight because it truly represents me.  Everyone that I know who has viewed it has told me how incredible it is.  I'm so pleased with the result! 

After creating my website, you were so helpful in guiding me with ideas on how to get traffic (i.e., reciprocal links, back links, directories, and press releases).  Just a few days after writing my press release "Moms Get Fit While Pushing Strollers", I've ranked within the top 10 on a few of my keywords in some of the highest ranking search engines!  I was blown away!

On top of all the great things that have been happening with my website, I've received many opportunities which I believe are seeds being planted, and will sprout into a large tree.  Shortly after producing my Stroller Workout for Moms DVD, I began doing a monthly fitness segments on KUSI Channel 9 News, and gained sponsorship from an upscale fitness clothing line known as "Marika".  I also landed a segment on Bob Circosta's TV show "What a Great Idea!", which will be filmed in January (note: Bob Circosta is one of the original hosts of the Home Shopping Network).  When I presented my DVD to Bob's panel of guests,  Home Shopping Network indicated they wanted me to speak with them after my filming on Bob's showl.

After going to "Cracking the Millionaire Code", I networked with some amazing people.  One of which is a doctor at Kaiser.  He aided me in connecting with the Regional Office at Kaiser Hospital who has indicated a possible interest in distributing my DVD in their hospitals.  I also met an incredible Marketing Specialist named Charlie Lyons, who has started the negotiation process to link my DVD with the stroller I use on my video called "Baby Trend".  Baby Trend's largest distributor is Babies R Us (which is one of the largest distributors for baby products and strollers), and their strollers are due to be in Target for the holidays.  Charlie has proposed for Baby Trend to buy my DVD at a whole sale price, and use it as a promotional offer with the stroller for the holidays and for the future.  The potential for this endeavor is exponential!!

On November 14 I will be filmed in First Trimester Yoga.  This is the first DVD in the series, since I will make a DVD for each trimester, i.e., second, third, then postpartum yoga.  My producer, Miles Johnston from Sore Toe Productions, is phenomenal.  I have a fantastic team of people (including Prosper of course), and I feel the possibilities are endless! (I also couldn't do it without the tremendous support of my wonderful husband, Brad!)

I've learned that I need a team who can help and support me, and I've found it!  Now I feel that I can reach my ultimate dream, which is to help women all over the world reach their optimum potential in body, mind, and spirit.

Entrepreneur Makes $130K in First Year Sales

As of today first year sales totaled 130K! Not bad for a bamboo bathrobe company in its first year. In late October we received a call from Hyatt Hotels on Sunset from the head of housekeeping requesting information and samples of our robes. They reviewed our products and put in our largest order to date – 1625 robes – almost a 60K invoice. However, I did not have that many robes in stock and could only provide a little over 200 – which was still an $8000 – invoice – not bad. Our hope is that they still plan to purchase the entire amount from us – and coincidentally Hyatt Hotels Spa’s are called Pure Spa. Could be a good match for us – worldwide. If we could have secured all 1600 robes and monies from them our gross sales total for the year would have been closer to 180K!

In brief I feel it has been a good year for Pure Bamboo – I feel the name and branding are strong and easy to remember the URL is also perfect and easy for people to find. I feel we have identified a strong market and I know we are the first company to be actively marketing to the hotel, resort and spa industry. First mover – major tactical advantage – my hope is that we can get well enough established so we can become a major force and player on the market.

Marketing Success Changes Business

When we initially began our mentoring program with Prosper Inc., we had done virtually no consistent marketing. One of the main services that our company provides is presale sewer inspections for real estate transactions. It is a relatively new process to real estate and gaining market acceptance has been an uphill battle. Our biggest challenge was creating a marketing program that was inexpensive and created a call to action.

Because we have no training in marketing it was difficult to consistently prioritize it and very little discretionary time with running a company, we were experiencing great fluctuations with our revenue causing the company to struggle financially.

We responded to an e mail about for small businesses because I was familiar with the outstanding reputations of both Jay and The Learning Annex. The initial investment took my breath away at first but I knew that we would gain relevant and applicable knowledge and I was comfortable with their guarantee.

Since we have started the program, our business has almost tripled. What is more important to me than the current income is the fact that we have become a marketing driven company. I know now that we will never be the kind of company again that only markets when we are slow. We are consistently busier than we have ever been but, no matter what, I do something regarding marketing every single day. My biggest challenge is not over marketing so we bring in more than we can handle.

In working with my mentor, I have gotten a deeper understanding of the value that we bring to the market place. We have also learned techniques of giving to get and the change in perspective has increased my creativity incredibly. We now have made our clients part of our business and the input that we have received from them has brought our product and our sales tools to a new level.

But most importantly, I have developed a confidence in what we do and how we do it so that I can sell our process easily and, when I am rejected, I could care less. I know that when I have been rejected by someone, they just don’t understand what we are doing.

Of the approximately 12,000 agents in our area, we need about 100 to consistently produce per month. With a desired market share that small, we can afford to deal with only the best agents which will make the quality of our business soar!

We have become an easier company to do business with and we have created tools to help agents explain our process to their clients. After all, I now know that they are our sales force and, like any sales force, need great tools in order to make them more effective.

I can sincerely say that our mentoring relationship with Prosper Inc. has changed our business for the better forever.

Now I'm On Top of the World

I appreciate the support and coaching I have received from Prosper.  I started my coaching at a difficult time in my life. I chose marketing because I have an enthusiasm for computers and the internet but knew very little about making money there.

My first coach was patient with me whilst I found what I really wanted to do. I missed out the basic stages, going through the process step by step but not being excited by products. Eventually, after going on The Wealth Retreat, I decided I wanted to build a dream venue on the internet.

My marketing coach passed me onto an internet coach and we began to look at the proposal. Big reality check here.  I have a history of thinking bigger than I act and now was due to be another of those times. Internet Business Finds Instantaneous Results Through Prosper Coaching

I want to thank Prosper for all they have done to make my site a great success!  Before working with Prosper my site was solely designed to inform clients about Pitching lessons and why they should take them from me.  My success at the time was referral based which was great, but, I was limiting myself to a 100 mile radius.  I also had to physically be somewhere in order to make money.  I was determined to share my knowledge to a much larger audience, but didn’t know how to do it.  I started creating my own products. First, an e-book, and then a DVD about Pitching Mechanics.  Even though I had great products, I had no idea how to market them.  Finally, my friend introduced me to Prosper and their coaching program.  I started working with my coach and soon realized how much I didn’t know about the internet.  I also found out that I was spending money on marketing that I truly didn’t need to and spinning my wheels working on projects that weren’t producing any results.

I applied the knowledge I had gained from my first coaching session with Dane and the results were instantaneous.  There were actually people visiting my site; more importantly, there were buyers.

Today, I make money everyday on my site.  I make more from my internet business than some people make working 40 hours a week. Not only do I know how to market more effectively, other businesses are doing it for me. I have businesses contact me on a regular basis to promote my products on their sites. Our Gross Income is $23K More than it was Before Prosper

In the eight months since we started working with Prosper, my wife Nancy and I have a radically new outlook on our future
 
First off, we know what it’s like to live in fear of not succeeding in our Internet business. Before June 2005, we were trying to do a lot of things in our business without clear direction. And while we were making progress, it was very slow going.
 
With mounting bills, we knew we needed a miracle or we’d go under. We got our miracle when we heard about Prosper. Since then, we’ve experienced a major change in our confidence in our business as our income has grown.
 
When we started coaching with Prosper, the quality of our lives started improving almost immediately in direct proportion to our increasing income.  The first major difference is that we now have more balance in our lives. We’re able to travel more, which we love to do. This is in no small measure due to the new automobile we were able to acquire.
 
We also gave ourselves permission to start taking ballroom dance lessons, which Nancy has wanted to do for some time. I was reluctant at first, but since we’ve started I discover that I really enjoy it. This experience has made us closer as a couple. Our newfound prosperity made this possible.
 
We’ve hired two assistants to help us with our growing business requirements. We are in the process of expanding our product line and starting new web sites. Nancy and I now have more freedom to focus on our strengths, which is writing and creating new products.
 
All of these improvements were definitely accelerated by our association with Prosper. I’d hate to imagine our lives without the help they’ve given us.
 
SUCCESS UPDATE

We wanted to share our latest good news with you-October broke another record for us! We always use as our 'comparison point' our gross income in June 2005, right before we started working with Prosper. And now that we have our complete income figures from last month, I can report that this October's gross income was $23,381 MORE than our gross monthly income before our Prosper coaching began, making this our best month ever.

We are ecstatic needless to say and of course thankful for the encouragement, coaching, and support we've received from Prosper.

The promotion of Seasons of Love has been interesting.  While we didn't get the one million downloads we had originally aimed for, the movie continues to positively affect sales and ezine sign-ups and I think it's been effective for branding our business in a unique way. This alone sets us apart from our competition. We now see that the movie will a long-term asset that will continue to help us in the months and years to come.

We took a week off in early November to spend some vacation time in Sea Grove, Florida, in a Gulf-front condo. It was nice to eat in the local gourmet restaurants, to ride bicycles in the area and to be just generally lazy. I've attached a photo from our vacation. It was taken on a boat that took us out into the Gulf to see wild dolphins up close. AWESOME!

Our goal in 2008 is to take even more vacations. We are in the process of hiring more help that will allow us to do this.

My view of our experience with Prosper is that we were shot into the stratosphere with a slingshot when we started our coaching. And now we continue going up without stopping!  Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you've done for us.

Our Business Grew 127% in 6 Months

The Jay Abraham– “How To Get From Where You Are To Where You Want To Be” Encounter Program, with the guidance of Dane Ing has helped us: 1) to develop our USP and relate it to our customers, 2) to focus on optimizing our marketing efforts for maximum business growth, and 3) to test performance of our marketing. The program has also provided us with an understanding of the multiple levels of growth, and by using the analysis tools given to us in the program we are currently experiencing a growth rate of 29% in productivity with a resulting 24% increase in sales, over the last two months. The most significant concept that we have learned is that if we concentrate on the wants and needs of our clients/patients, listening to them and solving their problems to the best of our ability, the financial rewards will follow.

SUCCESS UPDATE—2004

Just so you won't think that we have forgotten about you and all the help you gave us, here is an update. Since December 31, 2003, to June 30, 2004 our business had grown in sales by 127%. Our production is averaging 12 to 15 prescriptions per day, five days per week. Our most important growth factor seems to be, patient word of mouth. It is interesting however, that most of the individuals are not very interested in our friends and family referral program with discounts. It is working, but most people just tell a lot of other people and say they are so excited about us, and don't care about the discounts. We have been so busy, I have been working in the lab as a Tech, so the website is suffering right now. We have Pharmacy students working for us this summer, and are getting ready to hire a fulltime Tech by the time they go back to school. I hope that this will give me time to update the website and complete some of the other pieces of the website. This fall we will be doing two more things that will increase the business. One, we will expand our marketing to some of the new parts of the Inland Empire that we have not covered. This will also include contacting excercise places, Gyms, and Physical Therapists, etc. We have some exciting seminar oportunities coming our way toward the end of the year. Second, we are beginning to plan our second phase-- adding sterile compounding and the room and equipment that goes with it, and our preventive care program. If things stay on track as they have been, I anticipate we will do better than 200% growth in sales for the year. Any suggesting from you will be appreciated. Thanks again for your help!

SUCCESS UPDATE—2008

Through the Prosper Learning program and the coaching of Dane Ing we developed the goals for our company, defined the mission statement, and other marketing slogans. He helped us understand more fully the need for marketing, and how to use the tools provided by Jay Abraham. Dane helped us realize the need for a website, and provided the impetus to do it now. He gave us the basic structure and tools to help us develop our website on our own. Dane’s coaching and the Prosper Learning program provides not only ourselves, but our community with opportunities for success.

NASA Engineer Equates Prosper Education with a University Degree

I have started a very successful internet business under the guidance of the team at Prosper.  I sold my first item within a day of making my website available to the public.  This was accomplished simply by following the advice of my mentor: “This week, your assignment is get listings in as many relevant directories as possible”.  To-date, (which is exactly 1 month as of the day I am writing this), I have sold over $1,500.00 worth of product on-line at a profit margin of about 40%.

Though these numbers are not huge, the education I received from my mentor has provided me with the knowledge base which will allow me to continue expanding my site and increase my income steadily.  I now know that my internet income is limited only by the time I put into working on my website, negotiating appropriate products to sell, and the creativity of my own ideas in discovering other venues in which to market my products.

Over the next 3 months, I intend to complete my web page marketing my custom dance shoes to brides and bridal parties.  I plan to purchase an advertisement in a prestigious group of on-line bridal magazines which will direct the customers to this specific page on my site.  I have already discussed the web page styling with one of the editors, and am working hard to complete the page targeting the lucrative wedding industry.

I also have negotiated a contract to sell several brands of top-of-the-line dance shoes through the only dealer n the US that I know of who can keep a specific line of very desirable high-end ballroom dance shoes in stock.  The distributor accomplished this through working with German dance shoe design genius for over 30 years.  Knowing first-hand of the frustration of professional and semi-professional ballroom dancers in getting these shoes, I invested much time in negotiating an agreement with this distributor to drop ship shoes for me.

It is important to note that this distributor has NEVER drop-shipped for anyone before, but by careful negotiations we have worked out what I believe will be a win-win agreement.  During the next few months, I plan to add at least 2 of the several top-end brands to my site, and based on response to those listings, I may add more top end shoes.

The personal mentoring I received through this program kept me on a straight path to success.  My weekly assignments were well thought out and very specific.  Through this one-on-one mentoring I learned that I have to stay on top of the internet trends, particularly following the way Google ranks websites.  The personal mentoring I received through this program could never be replaced by a classroom type curriculum.  Each internet business has its own set of obstacles to overcome, and a general approach would never have allowed me to be successful.  I know that my personal mentor had no knowledge of or interest in the ballroom dance community that I now market my products to before working with me.  However, his broad experience in internet marketing allowed him to quickly understand the niche, and from that understanding he discovered how to help me in overcoming obstacles.

All of the mentors, technical support people, and designers were absolutely great.  I can not criticize any of them in their delivery of the required tools and information. In fact, if I compare the investment vs. income payoff of this program as compared to that of obtaining a degree from a university, I think the investment in Prosper would win out in many people’s bottom line. This comes from someone with a B.S. degree in Engineering, an M.S. degree in Engineering and a MBA.

Through my experience with Prosper, I believe I have finally found a way in which the investment of my time and energy will pay me back in proportion to that investment.  My full time job as an engineer working on thermal control of space borne satellites for NASA provides me with technical challenges, but does not come close to providing me with the sense that what I put into my work will pay me back proportionally.  This sort of satisfaction and gratification are exactly what I was looking for...

Finally, I would like to express special thanks to my mentor who remained patient with me throughout the process.  I am very demanding of myself, and am quite demanding on others.  He lived up to my very high expectations.

This Week: $2,260.87,  this Month: $2,009.87, this Year: $88,579.98.  Timing was good too with Dancing With The Stars and all of the movies coming out. My margin varies but averages around 42.5%. Nice to have a little extra income stream...my oldest daughter is a freshman at McGill in Montreal, and my younger daughter is a junior in High School.

SUCCESS UPDATE

On December 31, 2007, my Year - to - Date sales showed up close to $105K.  When I downloaded net sales from vermotion from 01/01/07 to 12/31/07 and put it into a spreadsheet it came up to close to $125K....after taking out the sales taxes that are paid in NYS.

Prosper Has Taught Us that Dreams Do Come True

As professional fund raisers, Joe and I have traveled the country working with hundreds of philanthropic individuals and organizations.  Often, we’ll hear comments like, “this is really easy if you know how,” or “more people need to know what it means to be a philanthropist.”  Like many professionals (and many of you), we often thought, “We need to write a book about this.”  However, how do you find the time?  We read several books, and contacted many individuals, and then we had a meeting with Prosper, Inc.  We then met our coach, Dane Ing, and what happened next is going to change our lives.

Dane listened to our grand plan and all our ideas.  He talked us through what we really wanted to accomplish and our dreams.  Finally, he organized our thoughts and put us on a path.  He worked with our demanding travel schedules and odd hours.  Often we would call in or email from various locations.  Dane was flexible, and always available for a quick email or short phone call.  His weekly assignments were challenging, but kept us fired up, making a seemingly impossible job not only possible, but gave us just enough glimpse of our end goal that we had the confidence that we could and would accomplish our goals.  Dane taught us marketing principles and techniques that can only be learned from personal trials and experiences.  It didn’t end with Dane.   Individuals from technical support helped us with web site details.  Marketing experts gave us advice about book publishing, e-books, and small details that have made a large difference.  The design team helped create a book cover and a “brand” for our site.  We felt like we were part of a complete team.  Teams where all the members are genuinely interested in helping us succeed!

With Dane and Prosper’s are plan is nearing completion.  We’ve created a web site called Family Education Center (www.familyedcenter.com).  Eventually, this site will be a site that provides families, and small organizations, with information on educational topics, fund raising, and educational products and tools.  Set one was to establish the fund-raising aspect and complete the book.  We’ve accomplished step one and are excited about our future with our fabulous team.  Prosper has taught us that dreams do come true, and the best way to accomplish them is with a coach!  And the great team the coach bring along!

My Dream Is Becoming a Reality One Day at a Time

I live in the beautiful, albeit sometimes cold, state of Montana.  My living room window looks out on 11,000 ft. Emigrant Peak.  This is a great setting for relaxing, vacationing, and recreating.  However, it wasn’t necessarily conducive to good business until I got involved in Prosper.

The great staff at Prosper have provided me with what I needed to take my small business to the next level.  B.P. (before Prosper) I would sit at home hoping, waiting for an order or two to come my way from our two website stores.  Since I am in the preparedness field, any disaster would bring a spurt of orders but unfortunately each time the orders dropped off to almost nothing in a very short time.

Preparedness is a concept whose time has finally come.  With the inspiration of my initial contact person, Tim Lawson, I caught the vision of where I could go with my business.  With the help of my coach, Dane Ing, I am gaining the tools I need to get me there.

To start with, I completely redid my web sales letter.  I have learned how to organize and present my information to motivate my potential customers.  I have learned how to give them a clear picture of what they will gain from buying our book or ordering one of our products, whether it’s a flashlight, a 72-hour survival kit, a water filter or long-term storage food.  My company is now sending out monthly emails to all the contacts we have with our latest specials.

I worked on completely updating our previously outdated and specialized book on emergency preparedness and was able to publish a concise and practical book on preparedness that is targeted to a much wider audience.  My book, Do-It-Yourself Emergency Preparedness, (subtitle) How Ordinary People Prepare for Extra-Ordinary Events, (my coach Dane Ing came up with the subtitle) has sold three times the number of books in the first year that the original book sold on average in a year.

In the past month I have done 10 radio interviews about my book and emergency preparedness.  These are fun and helping to increase the market for the book and the products I sell on my website. The time is ripe for this kind of information.

My business did not make me a millionaire overnight but Prosper did not promise this.  In fact they made sure I understood the effort and motivation I would need to provide to ensure my business is a success.  Then they gave me the support I needed to get off the couch and go to work.

I am continuing to enrich our website with articles, more information on our products and links to other sites.  It all takes effort but it is very doable when attempted one step at a time.  My dream is for one of our 72-hour survival kits to be in 10,000 households by the end of this year.  In addition, I envision Do-It-Yourself EmergencyPreparedness in every Costco, and every airport bookstore as it makes it to the nonfiction bestseller list.  It’s becoming a reality one day at a time.

Number One Book on Amazon

My wife and I first wrote the book five years ago. It was the Columbine shooting that first prompted us to write the book...Finally we got the book to a level, and we were able to get it on TV. We sold a lot of books ourselves. A bigger company saw the book, and saw the potential and they signed with us. They said that we want to take your book to a bigger level...

All the skeptics, everyone out there, that I was telling what Prosper was doing for us said that you was no way you'll get your book to be a #1 on Amazon... My Coach Has Helped Me Expand My Business and Clientele

I have worked through these ten weeks with my coach and am truly sad to see them end! He has been terrific in working with our existing company to guide us toward powerful new ways to improve our web site, expand our business, and promote ourselves to achieve far more successful results. Initially we talked about ways to create new services and products; a decision was made to expand our recording studio business in addition to my work as a composer/lyricist and performer/recording artist and my husband's work as a broadcast systems integrator. My husband and I began to conceive new ideas for recording projects for other organizations and individuals, since our recording studio has almost solely been for my own use in the past.

Following one of the early sessions working with my coach on these possibilities, I was at a rehearsal for a joint choir project between two area synagogues and the Baptist church. As we were rehearsing the performance, it occurred to me that we should record this performance. With my coach's words echoing in my mind, I turned to the synagogue's cantor who is a friend, and said, "We've got to record this! It would be an incredible fundraiser! The members of the choir will all want CDs and their families and friends, plus the people at the service and all three congregations can sell the CD. We can create the CD for you and print up CDs whenever you need them and you don't have to stock large quantities and we can create your graphics and print the CDs and labels for you!" He looked at me with surprise and said, "Okay, let's do it!"

Out of the blue, phone calls and e-mails have began arriving, inquiring about our studio (which we do not advertise). It seems that others heard about us by way of the synagogue for which we recorded the concert. As those people began asking me about our studio, they began spreading the word with others. Without yet conducting any advertising and without even completing the brochures and promotional materials that I have conceived for this aspect of our business, we are being referred to other congregations and individuals and receiving their calls on a daily basis! The mere intention of expanding this business and conception of the possibilities has already been sending new business to us each day, and each of those clients has been referring us to others as well.

I see, very quickly, the possibilities for a magnificent expansion of the company as envisioned by myself with the coaching, and I see that I have not even scratched the surface of what is possible in my own work as a concert artist (which, incidentally, has suddenly increased in bookings some eight-fold over what it was 3 months ago before I began working with Prosper), with our web site (which I am still rebuilding), and with our vision for the services and products we offer. Imagine, if all of this is happening already even as we have just started to put into play the ideas my coach and Prosper have given us, what will be the possibilities as we implement more of these projects?

This past week I used the concept of making an irresistible offer. This was with a client who was on the fence on purchasing a new web site and my services that went with the site. Price was his only real issue. To close the deal I went back and offered him a year of free hosting, a cost savings to him of $360.00, my cost is $240.00. Shrink Your Execution Time through Prosper Coaching

Can you say, “Shrink the execution time?" That’s what has happened for me working with my Prosper Learning coach.  I started the Prosper Learning coaching program with an existing company Success Mentoring L.L.C. and website www.esuccessmentoring.com our vision is to provide a service to support people in the building of their leadership skills based on your personal preference style.   The tool we use is the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator® (MBTI®), which is the most widely used personality type instrument in the world.  All types of government agencies, businesses both public and private, as well as, individuals and families use the MBTI® instrument.

Working with my Prosper Learning coach, in a little over 60 days I was able to totally revamp my website to have a more enticing, energetic, user-friendly appeal for clients wanting to purchase services.  My coach not only coached me through the process of website design, but he also coached me in communicating changes to my website design group so that my cost for changes were minimal, developing questions to survey a community of potential clients, and guiding me in developing a new product packaging format that was more user-friendly.  While this was great, my coach didn’t stop here.  He helped me think through a design of my first e-book to add my website.  But what I’m most excited about is the lesson learned from my coach and that is the importance of “sharpening the saw” before execution.  I am so excited about the future of my project I can hardly sleep.

We Sold in the First Quarter this Year What it Took 12 months to Do Last Year!

I thought I would drop you a line while I had a chance to catch my breath! I was going to wait one more week so I could give you a look at the first quarter of sales for M-B Electronics and Electronic Toolbox, but I was so excited as to what has been happening I was ready to burst!

Looks like the first quarter of 2006 is going to end up with around a 22% increase in sales over 2005.  Electronic ToolBox Inc has already sold in the first quarter this year what took 12 months to do last year. Simply AWESOME!!!!!!!

I have continued working on building links, working the keywords and just plain out having fun with this whole deal. I am so glad that you and I have had this opportunity to work together over the last 6 weeks. I have watched pages inside our web site mbelectronics.com go from sometimes as far back as 10 pages deep on Google to front page, top 5. In fact on some Google pages out of the top ten rankings hold 3 of the top 10 spots with articles and page links.

International sales have increased to the point that when I meet with Velleman Electronics at the EDS (Electronic Distributors Show) in Las Vegas this May we will be discussing the possibility of drop shipping direct from Velleman Belgium to our customers in the European market.

On the domestic side of things our Audio Visual Parts sales have continued to increase steadily.  We hold top positions on Google for all of the major keywords in that market, and just like the Electronic Tools side of the business the articles and page links in some instances hold 3 or 4 of the top 10 positions on Google.

I really have to giggle at times and at the same time pinch myself to see if this isn't just a dream. I can't tell you how many compliments I receive not only about www.mbelectronics.com, but about my articles. I never realized that my own words and ideas could possibly carry so much weight.

There is no doubt in my mind that the time you and I have spent working together has had a direct impact on the growth we are realizing. It's amazing that by making subtle changes to the web site could have such dramatic results in such a short period of time. We just won't tell my competitors our little secret!

 Hope this letter finds all of you in good health. Sherri and I are looking forward to the start of the Platinum Club and sharing our excitement with other students who may still be having some doubts about their own futures. Internet Business Takes Off

My background is primarily real estate and construction.  I started this business a few years ago with the idea of selling decorative concrete products to home owners, small to midsize commercial contractors, or property managers…who had smaller projects that contractors typically wouldn’t take on…clients who had no resources.  So, I formulated www.decorativeconcretekits.com to bring it under one roof.

The website just recently went live…I started about one year ago, had the right ideas, I hooked up with you guys last July…and I went about redesigning it.  I added some new vendors and in a pretty short period of time we are getting really great traffic.  We’re probably about 75 unique visitors a day right now after about two weeks.  We just had 120 yesterday.

SUCCESS UPDATE

I’ve been working the blog hard, less on articles but at least 2 ezine articles per week. Submitted to close to 200 directories, accepted by 20.  Gross sales since web site went up is $21,000 net about $8,000.00. Total sales 23 $900.00 per sale.

I’ve completed 50 blog posts. Each I work in a few keyword phrases. Traffic on my website is 120-175 per day for the past month. Most interest is from Texas, California, New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts. Florida.

In recent days I’m seeing 20% of traffic on site for more than 5 minutes up from about 12%. I’m also seeing a change from about 65% leaving in first 30 seconds down to 55% recently.  Everyone who buys a kit is thrilled with the results. I don’t understand why I’m not selling 1 per day.  So currently I’m averaging $2,000 per week in sales, I need to get to $8,000 per week to start making any money. After expenses that will get me to about $3,000 per week in profit, which will enable me to pay myself a salary and have some operating capital in the bank.

Business Owner Overcomes Obstacles to Find Success

I own/manage my own water/wastewater operations services company and have wanted to establish an internet related business for years so that I could have multiple streams of income and hopefully retire early. I have dabbled in a few Internet-related businesses; however, I was an amateur trying to create a web page and attempting to advertise. I signed up for the Prosper system to overcome the previous obstacles in using the Internet and I wanted to get serious about making money and providing the multiple income streams. It has been great working with my coach as he was able to provide teaching relative to my needs and at a correct pace.

Midway through the “course” I had him change courses as I became involved in a program and needed assistance with marketing. He provided great insight into methods I didn’t know existed. He was extremely flexible in working with me, as some weeks did not allow proper preparation on my part. He would adjust to that and provide additional information that could assist me in my current or future internet pursuits. We Hit $1000 this Month

WOW! What a week! We lost power soon after we got off the phone with you. The whole county was declared an emergency. We got our power back on Wednesday and having been trying to clean up since! But, while I was going through computer withdrawals during our 'black out', I was making sales! On the site!

So, where to begin! It's really starting to come together!  I told you I had a quilt on a website I was trying to get listed on, well, they sent out a Monthly newsletter where I was featured in. This received lots of hits to the site.  Yesterday, I was informed that they have listed my site, so I'm now in the Quilt index. Where you want to be if you are an online fabric store! This is great! We are already seeing an increase in traffic coming from this site.

Also, being personal with people on eBay has led to several off eBay sales - one of which was on the website! Yeah! Our first! Also, had another one that wanted something different that what was listed, so I sent her an invoice through paypal, and she paid - again, no eBay fees!  EBay has been very steady lately as well. So, we've had a good week, and it's still going steady.

I've been advertising on free sites – doesn’t seem to do much good, but I thought I'd try! Still listing in directories, but we are now to the pay ones. So, we are spreading it out a bit more.

SUCCESS UPDATE

I just noticed today, that our ETSY shop has a page rank of 3 now!   It was zero until here recently - I've been watching!  Now, the funny thing is.... my admin page on Etsy, has a page rank of 6!  Not sure how that happened, but I'll take it.  Website still at a page rank of 3.  I don't think eBay works the same way, or I have no page rank on eBay.  Either way, still happy!

Oh, and 7 sales today today (and it's not over yet!)  Thank you so much Nate!  You have made this possible for me!  It's getting really exciting all of a sudden!  I mean the sales are just flooding in all of a sudden!  I'm so excited.  We'll hit $1000 this month.  I know, it's not much, but it's more than we've made in one month so far!  I'll have to revisit our goals!  I've surpassed them for this quarter already!

United Kingdom: Student Averages $3K per Week

I thought I knew my way around the internet and I also thought I knew how to make a decent living from it.  However, I have been working with my coach for about a couple of months now and to say I have learned a lot is an understatement.

I have been particularly impressed with the tools and ideas that my coach has provided me in terms of SEO and JV's.  By utilizing the tools and advice he has provided, in conjunction with optimizing my website, I have been generating sales that have averaged over $3000 a week over the last number of weeks!

In hindsight, I did know quite a bit about marketing, but now after working with Prosper Coaching, I know a great deal more!

I Made $4,800 in Sales So Far

For my website the original goal was to do just weddings; however, since I’ve been able to expand using the internet, my goal is now to do daily florist business (birthdays, holidays) as well as weddings and events. Since setting up my website and marketing on Craigslist.org, along with offsite advertising, I’ve seen an increase in my business.

In the month of March I have had the following sales: Every Monday I deliver flower arrangements to two offices. They pay me $45 per week and I bill them monthly. I would love to get more of these! March had 5 Mondays so that is $225.x 2 = $450.

I also did a Wedding March 2nd for $1148.07. My daily sales for the 1st week were $326.00 On March 8th I provided event flowers for an event planner-eleven centerpieces for a total of $878.63.

Daily sales for the 2nd week were $510.00. I did another wedding March 15th; It was a small one for $345.00. My daily sales for the 3rd week, which included Easter, were $590.00. I also had daily sales during the 4th week of $649.00.

In all I brought in over $4800 in sales.

My Company is Now Recognized Internationally

Although my story is long and painful, I can say that from all those experiences I have learned to make the best out of them and to be grateful for what I have overcome. My company was created with the vision and principles to put Central America in the eyes of the world, as the new real estate paradise option.

My main objective was to create a chain of retroactive investors from the United States and Europe to obtain and see all the possibilities that these 6 beautiful countries have to offer as a gold mine, due to the many factors that make this geographical area a great place to invest and also for Central American investors to give them the best advice and opportunities of residential, commercial and tourist investments in Florida, this idea has been accepted through all Central America and Florida.

I have been ill for the past 9 months and the principles in wich the corporation has been stablished kept on growing and for my surprise only after 3 weeks of being back in my country (Guatemala) our number one newspaper choose AREI American Real Estate Investments, as the pioneer company in educating clients and markets offering the highest standards of quality, services and investing options covering all of its clients needs.

I am grateful for all the knowledge I obtained and have been able to apply properly. The results are being recognized. At the same time a magazine called SUMMA, which circulates in Central America, geared to C.E.O.s and financial and industrial markets also features AREI in their real estate special issue this may "as the most up to date corporation in real estate knowledge of the area".

We Applaud Your Coaching Techniques

We have recently completed a coaching program and wish to pass on our thorough satisfaction with what our coach was able to assist us with. We had a specific requirement to learn, in a hurry, some of the intricacies of advertising on line, a subject we knew little about at the outset.

My brother directs and produces the New Yankee Workshop on WGBH TV which also features a premier website by the same name. They are at the point of wanting to create additional advertising space to generate additional revenues and my brother has kindly offered to let me manage some, if not all, of the advertising sales, conditioned on my ability to get up to speed on the subject.

We had eight sessions with our coach and were able ultimately to present a proposal to NYW for their consideration. Our coach’s enthusiasm, positive attitude, and expert knowledge of the field helped us immensely. We applaud the coaching techniques he used, appreciated his willingness to focus on the specific issues without generalizing, and very much looked forward every week to his professional approach to handling the various issues.

My Coach Has a Wonderful Grasp of Marketing

Thus far my experience in the coaching program has been fabulous.  My coach has a wonderful grasp of marketing, especially internet marketing.  He has helped me realize the value of having a powerful front end to kick off my marketing efforts and give people a reason to give me their e-mail address and join my lake of prequalified fish for me to hook.

He has shown me the value of doing surveys to collect info. and motivate buyers.  He has helped me re-price some of my products and services and create a trial subscription for them.  He has taught me the benefits of creating strategic alliances with newsletter marketing companies in my primary target markets.  He has helped me see the vision that I am done trading time for money and over the next 3 to 5 years I will find creative ways to create value in people's lives, triple to quadruple my income and spend 1/3 to 1/4 of the time I currently invest in my business, and how this is accomplished with MSI's around my PSI.  How I need to focus on high revenue things while I have other people around me focus on all the lower revenue things.  The importance of creating better incentives for people to refer my products and services.  The value of a multi pronged marketing approach: mail,phone,fax and internet, all at once.  

My coach has helped me brainstorm various front end products such as free e-books, free reports, free chapter of my book, free CD's, free DVD's, free audio samples of my CD training program,free audio and video samples of my coaching and trainings,etc.  The value of asking members of my potential markets what they would like to get free to give me their e-mail addresses. He has taught me about using search vehicles like google and yahoo with things like pay per click. He taught me about Adobe Acrobat and PDF formats for my e-books and free reports. How to embed coupons and other selling tools within my free reports. How to have bonuses and use them effectively as added incentive for people to buy my products and services.How to have other people do my coaching like Robert Allen does, I charge $150 per hour, they get paid $75 to $100...

All of this has occurred over the past 6 weeks. I can't wait to see what else is possible through the remainder of my coaching calls.
