YouTube is one of the most powerful forms of social media today. It’s reach is far greater than any one can imagine. Currently YouTube is the second most used search engine on the internet. Imagine the power, it is higher than names like Yahoo, Bing, AOL and other search engines. Its demographics reach all ages, races and social status.
A business owner would not be taking full advantage of their marketing strategy to not include YouTube in their marketing. There are many things that to include and to avoid in creating an effective Youtube Marketing strategy.
Creating an account is considered creating a “channel”. So create your channel by including your company or business name as your channel name or id. So if your site is boogiewoogie.com then be sure to name your channel boogiewoogie. Get your brand recognition, get someone to want to remember you. YouTube allows you to customize your own channel, having a logo, background images and colors. A strong suggestion would be to have your channel mirror your website as best you can. Be sure to properly fill out your channel description information including having your website being included.
When editing and creating your video, there are a few things to remember as well. Starting with your title, be sure to optimize your title for the search engines by including keyword phrases in the title. You may also want to include the word “video” in your title because people do search using video in their search. While editing your video description be sure to include keywords in your description and a nice short explanation of the video. The most imp0rtant thing you want to include in your description is a link to your website. When adding a link be sure to include http:// so that the link physically gets created. So example might be: “If you have questions about …. be sure to visit http://www.(yourdomainname).com”
Have fun be creative be original and try to include your web address in the video. Practice a few times before deciding to film your video. Then upload it, and look forward to seeing the traffic coming.
