Prosper Welcomes New Executives to Management Team
Provo, UT, June 11, 2008 — Prosper Inc. has recently appointed four new executives to its management team, as the coaching and distance training company prepares for the next phase in its growth.
Dave Ellis has been appointed president of Prosper Inc. Ellis has eight years' experience in adult education and training, serving as president of Franklin Covey Coaching, LLC, and as vice president of new business development at AMS Direct. Ellis also has extensive experience in the nutrition and fitness industry, including founder and owner of American Exercise & Gym; vice president of product development at Nordic Track; and vice president of international sales and marketing at Weider Nutrition Group. At Life Fitness, where he served as director of product development, he was recognized as marketer of the year. He is a graduate of the Lawrence Technological University and has studied at the Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Doug Folsom has joined Prosper as chief financial officer. Most recently, Folsom was the managing director of operations and the CFO for Studeo, a national advertising agency with offices in Salt Lake City and Irvine, Calif. Folsom served as president and chief operations officer of Indulgent Foods, LLC, the home of Stephen's Gourmet Hot Cocoa and Mrs. Fields Premium Hot Cocoa brands. He was also a partner and CFO of Euro RSCG Tatham Partners LLC, located in Chicago, IL which was a regional office for Euro RSCG Worldwide. He is a graduate of the University of Utah and is a CPA.
David Higley has been named chief marketing officer at Prosper Inc. Prior to joining Prosper, Higley was the executive vice president of online marketing at EURO RSCG DRTV, where he managed the online marketing team and was responsible for building and developing an online marketing platform. Higley has also served as vice president of marketing and advertising at Corinthian Colleges Inc., a leading post-secondary education provider in North America. He began his career at Icon Health & Fitness, Inc., the largest manufacturer of home fitness equipment. During his 12-year tenure at Icon, he was responsible for direct brand strategies for NordicTrack, HealthRider, ProForm, Image, Weider, and Reebok. He is a graduate of Utah State University.
George Brunt has joined Prosper as chief legal officer. Most recently, George was with the top ranked national law firm, Greenburg and Traurig. Prior to that he served as senior vice president and general counsel of Alcatel Americas, DSC Communications Corporation, Citicorp Business Systems and ITT Information Systems. Brunt is a graduate of Brigham Young University and received his juris doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law.
