Prosper Inc., which provides executive level business coaching to individuals, began in September of 1999 and quickly became one of the fastest growing companies in Utah. The name of the company embodies their goal of "doing good by doing good." The word "prosper" means to grow, to fulfill and to increase.
Prosper seeks to guide individuals to realize their full potential and experience fuller lives. Randy Garn, co-founder and EVP of New Business, put it this way: "We love seeing other people having great success, and that is why our motto is 'Your life is your business; helping it prosper is ours.' "
Prosper has grown into a multi-million dollar business in its first 11 years and has won numerous awards, although its success has not been limited to financial measures. Cofounder and CEO Ethan Willis remembers the excitement the owners shared as they watched their customers and employees better provide for their families. At present, the owners are thrilled that their company employs more than 400 Utah and Idaho residents.
Prosper was built as a company to last. Owners knew there would always be a market for what they had to offer as long as they made decisions taking the long view in perspective. Prosper's culture and services attract people from all around the world who want to improve their financial lives through personalized education.
COO Jason Coulam says, "From the very beginning, we wanted to create a customer-centric business. This isn't just a business for us; we genuinely want to help people prosper."
The company has coached more than 60,000 students in 76 countries.
"It's changing lives, and that's exciting to everyone here at our organization," Jason says.
Prosper is excited about the future growth of its business.
"What we have to offer is a proven way to help people accomplish their goals in a more effective way than any other means," Jason says.
Ethan is confident that Prosper's programs enhance students' results like nothing else.
"As for our future," Ethan says, "what we are doing is the future. People want an education process that is results-based, and at Prosper we are passionate about delivering those results."
