Prosper celebrated Cinco de Mayo as one of the many sponsors for ScenicView’s 5k Run/Walk last week. The event raised an estimated $10,000 for ScenicView Academy’s Student Scholarship Fund. A nationally recognized center for learning and living located in Provo, Scenic View is one of Prosper’s Community Action partners.

ScenicView Academy helps adults with autism spectrum disorders and other learning disabilities gain skills that lead to fulfilling lives. Following the event, Jim Murphy, Director of Advancement at Scenic View, thanked Prosper employees for their support.

“Thank you so much for your sponsorship of our 2nd Annual Cinco de Mayo 5k,” Murphy wrote in a letter. “This year was by far the biggest and best ever and we couldn’t have done it without you. Please express my sincere appreciation to all those at Prosper who supported our event. You are great friends and wonderful neighbors.”

Jeff Kempton, Public Relations Manager at Prosper, worked with ScenicView and attended the run.

“The Cinco de Mayo run was a lot of fun and ScenicView’s staff did a great job in their planning and marketing efforts,” Kempton said. “The run was very well attended, featured runners from all ages and did a terrific job raising money for their scholarship fund. There’s no better way to spend your Cinco de Mayo than helping a great cause and running alongside three fully dressed mariachi singers.”
