Prosper Inc., the leader in one-to-one personalized education, announced today they will be partnering with the Community Foundation of Utah to provide valuable coaching and guidance to Spy Hop Productions, one of six finalists in the Foundation’sSocial Innovation Challenge.
The Social Innovation Challenge was designed as a platform for Utah’s social and for profit entrepreneurs to take calculated risks, gain new skills and networks, and demonstrate a fresh way to address social issues. The Challenge brings the skills of entrepreneurs to nonprofit organizations to tackle challenging or seemingly ‘impossible’ but common issues and demonstrate measurable impact in a three month time period. The results will be shared widely so that other agencies can replicate the efforts and avoid pitfalls.
“We’re extremely excited to be partnering with the Community Foundation of Utah and Spy Hop Productions for this great program,” said Ethan Willis, CEO of Prosper Inc. “As the world leader in mentoring and coaching services, being able to provide our expertise to a local program like the Social Innovation Challenge is an incredible honor, and we hope to provide the real social change this challenge strives to offer.”
As part of the partnership, George Brunt, executive vice president of legal, and Dane Ing, executive vice president of fulfillment for Prosper Inc. will provide mentoring and coaching over the next three months and give valuable direction in business planning and marketing. This will aid Spy Hop Productions in their goal of providing an opportunity for young people to express themselves by utilizing tools and technology and preparing them to become engaged, creative problem-solvers, ready to take on challenges of the 21st century.
Along with providing mentoring services, Prosper Inc. will also be a sponsor of the Social Innovation Challenge luncheon and results presentation in December.
“Prosper Inc. is proving to be a tremendous resource in helping to ensure the Social Innovation Challenge is a success,” said Fraser nelson, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Utah. “The true entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to helping others succeed that exists at Prosper is what helps drive the local business community and programs such as this.”
