Prosper Inc partnered with the Larry Benet Agency and other sponsors to bring to life the 2010 Thought Leader Summit at Sundance Utah January 22 and 23 2010.
The event was organized to bring together dozens of top industry thinkers to discuss the best ideas in the economy for the next 10 years. Participants came desiring to know best practices on how to hire A+ employees, leverage social media, better understand the economic marketplace, create new connections and more. Thought Leader Summit participants also helped raise money for victims in Haiti.
As the major sponsor, Randy Garn, co-founder of Prosper Inc and current EVP of New Business kicked start the meeting by providing both a professional and comedic tune. Randy then turned the event over to Larry Benet the meeting organizer. Mr. Benet outlined the Summit's events and identified the theme of "collaborate, connect, and make a difference". Participants spent the day sharing ideas on industry specific ideologies and challenges, brainstorming market trends for the next decade and listened to special guest speakers. Speakers included: Dom Sagolla who helped create the company Twitter and has recently published his book "140 Characters", Dr. Stephen R. Covey author of "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and Utah Governor Gary Herbert.
Invited guests included self-improvement and leadership gurus as Harvey Mackay, author of "Swim With the Sharks Without Getting Eaten Alive;" Bill Barman, a two-time National Entrepreneur of the Year; Laura Day, bestselling author and business consultant; Paul Zane Pilzer, economist and author of "The Wellness Revolution;" Randy Garn and Ethan Willis, founding partners of Prosper Inc.; Jeff Black, founder of Hotels.com; and Kevin Hall, noted speaker and author of "Aspire."
